Carve + Connect Technique Lab
with Jaime Wing
Monday, August 24 | 6:00–8:00 PM
Whether you're carving your very first large-scale woodblock or looking to refine your practice, join professional printmaker Jaime Wing for an evening of carving techniques, best practices, and studio wisdom.
A seasoned BIG INK participant, Jaime will share practical tips on tool use, carving approaches, planning large-scale imagery, and common pitfalls to help you carve with greater confidence and intention. Bring your questions, your block, and your curiosity.
FREE for all Ink for Impact registered artists.
Print-curious? Join us for $20 if you're not quite ready to commit to the festival. If this workshop inspires you to register for Ink for Impact, we'll happily apply your $20 workshop fee toward your artist registration.
Come sharpen your skills, connect with fellow makers, and kick off the carving season together. Community, creativity, and good vibes included.
Jaime Wing is a queer fine artist, printmaker and designer, often using recycled and repurposed materials to create work inspired by the natural world around him, all the things that make us human, and our relationships with nature. He has a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is currently a member of Pickwick Independent press in Portland, Maine.
