INK FOR IMPACT A Community Steamroller Print Fest
Something BIG is rolling into Amesbury...The Center style.
At The Center, we love hard. We community hard. We art hard. This fall, we're bringing a large-scale community printmaking festival inspired by BIG INK's famous steamroller printing events, but with a distinctly Center twist. Think giant prints, community collaboration, artists of all levels, families, workshops, hands on activities, live energy, and one unforgettable day where art literally gets rolled over by a steamroller.
Whether you're a seasoned printmaker, a curious beginner, an adventurous family, or simply someone who loves to witness creativity in action, there's a place for you.
Ink for Impact invites artists and community members from Amesbury and beyond to create work around a shared theme, culminating in a spectacular public printing event on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Our event theme to guide imagery is CHANGE.
Leading up to the event, The Center will host a series of workshops, including:
Carving tips + techniques
Collagraph workshops
All Level + Family-friendly maker sessions
Artist meet-ups and community carving days
Special thanks to the Amesbury Cultural Council for supporting this project through an Ink for Impact Grant, helping bring this bold community arts experience to Amesbury.
Big prints. Big community. Big impact.

A Signed Print: Donating one signed print from your top two pulls to support The Center | Art + Community’s initiatives and fundraising efforts. We are a registered 501(c)3
Heart, Hands+Hustle: This event is powered by community, and we'll all help with inking, moving blocks, pulling prints, and making a little magic together.
Option 2: Create a Collagraph to Print
A collagraph is a printmaking technique where artists build a textured printing plate by gluing a variety of materials onto a rigid surface. That textured plate is then inked and run through a press, in this case, the steamroller! The result is a richly layered, 2×3’ one-of-a-kind print.
Texture to Print | Collagraph Workshops
A collagraph is a printmaking technique where artists build a textured printing plate by gluing a variety of materials onto a rigid surface. That textured plate is then inked and run through a press, in this case, the steamroller! The result is a richly layered, one-of-a-kind print.
In these workshops, you’ll create your own 2’ × 3’ collagraph plate using cardboard and a variety of textured materials. Then, at our Ink for Impact Steamroller Print Event, your plate will be hand-inked and printed using a steamroller as the press, resulting in a bold, large-scale artwork unlike anything you can make in a traditional print studio.
Perfect for beginners, creatives looking to experiment, and experienced artists alike.
$100 PER PANEL (1-4 people per panel)
Registration includes workshop materials and one steamroller print pull. You will help with the process on the event day!

Texture to Print: Family Edition | Collagraph Workshop
A collagraph is a printmaking technique where artists build a textured printing plate by gluing a variety of materials onto a rigid surface. That textured plate is then inked and run through a press, in this case, the steamroller! The result is a richly layered, one-of-a-kind print.
Create together! Families will work side by side to design a bold 2’ × 3’ collagraph plate using layered textures, found materials, and imaginative mark-making. Your finished plate will become part of our Ink for Impact Steamroller Print Event, where it will be inked and printed by an actual steamroller into a spectacular oversized print.
All ages welcome (children should attend with an adult).

Registration includes workshop materials and one steamroller print pull. You will help with the process on the event day!
