At Center, we believe learning pottery should feel playful, welcoming, and full of joy. In this 6-week adult class you’ll get thoughtful instruction and plenty of room to experiment, get messy, try something new or weird, and find your own style.
Over six weeks, Daniela will introduce you to both handbuilding and the pottery wheel, building foundational skills through a mix of instruction, practice, and plenty of hands-on time. Whether you’re brand new to clay or ready to build confidence, come ready to learn, play, and make finished, glazed pieces.

Whether you're quilt-curious or a seasoned sewist looking to carve out time for a project, this course will guide you through quilt creation from start to finish in six weeks.
Each class includes dedicated open sewing time in a supportive, welcoming studio where you'll receive individualized guidance and encouragement as you bring your quilt to life.
Whether you love crisp, traditional patterns or are drawn to playful, intuitive improvisation, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with color, pattern and composition.
No sewing experience is necessary—all levels are welcome. Materials will be provided but feel free to bring fabric you’re excited to work with!

Join together to experiment, mess up and find joy in the process with no pressure to make things perfect. This is your permission to play. We know you deserve it.
Bad Art Club
Wednesday October 21st 6-8pm
You deserve a medal, really. We know how much you do. Celebrate yourself and your community with wacky and whimsical ribbons and buttons. We’ll use felt, fabric, ribbons, beads and found materials to make colorful and cheeky badges of honor. We’ll get crafty, maybe a little sarcastic and give ourselves a pat on the back .

Make bad art in good company. A six week exploration of play through mixed media. Perfect for people looking for “their thing,” you’ll have six chances to try something totally new. w/Lizzy
Wednesday October 28 6-8pm
Break the mold on boring portraits. Collage colorful paper to create bold and expressive faces that focus not on perfection and realism, but on embracing quirks, playing with shape and color and telling a story.
Inspired by both Matisse and contemporary artists, we’ll “draw with scissors,” as we make ugly mugs that make a statement.
Wednesday November 4th 6-8pm
Bring your Bad Jeans, Mom Jeans, Dad Jeans with that classic wallet imprint on the back pocket (you know those ones) and make some magic! We’ll use iron on adhesive, hand and machine sewing, embrodiery thread and more to make custom jeans with big personality! No sewing experience necessary!
Wednesday November 11th 6-8pm
Woaaaaah man. Defy logic and honor the absurd in Week 4 of Bad Art Club. We’ll create surrealist collages tapping into our subconscious and intuition. Surprise yourself with unexpected combinations, play with scale, remove, replace, create.
Wednesday December 2nd 6-8pm
Traditionally feminized and undervalued “craft” harnessed into political power? Yeah, that sounds like The Center. We show up for the causes we care about and we let our freak flags fly. After learning about the intersection between Fiber arts and political protest, you’ll design and create a fabric banner for a cause you care about. Work solo or with a team to stand up for what you believe. That’s how we do it at The Center.
Wednesday December 9th 6-8pm
Anything but a Paintbrush! Get expressive and have fun exploring abstraction and mark making without a paintbrush. Marble with shaving cream, stripe with squeegees. We’ll get messy, stay curious and find flow state. Forget the result and stay present in the process.

Tues Oct 20 Gelli Jam
Dive into monoprinting with Gelli plates. Layer, pull, experiment, and embrace the happy accidents.

What exactly is block printing? Explore lino, rubber, and wood carving as we carve, ink, and print our own designs.
Tues Nov 10
Build a collagraph plate from texture, found materials, and layers, then take it for a spin on the printing press.
Tues Nov 17
What’s the weirdest thing we can put through the press? An experimental night of textures, objects, materials, and BIG printing-press energy.
Tues Dec 1
Build, print, flip, and repeat as we explore symmetry, pattern, and modular design using legos to build up printing blocks. Get some high tech prints with low tech materials.
Tues Dec 8
A printmaking mash-up! Pull out the Gelli plates, monoprints, rubber blocks, and anything else we've learned to create an experimental printmaking playground. No prior expereince necessary. Just show up to print + play!

She, he, they, hey!! Join us for Boobie Pots, a clay workshop celebrating one of nature’s most beloved forms. Big, small, asymmetrical, perky, saggy, ghost-of-boob-past—whatever shape you’re honoring, we love them all.
No clay experience? We’ll set you up for success and you do the rest—play, explore, and create. We’ll fire and glaze your piece in the glaze of your choice, turning it into a fully functional ceramic treasure.
Grab a friend or a tribe of humans who ❤️ boobies. Or come again to add to your collection.
Celebrate spooky season with a double trouble workshop at The Center. Two sister workshops honoring the fabulous femme! Create a vag vessel Sunday and a boobie pot Friday. Both pieces with be glazed and fire by The Center for you to pick up! No experience needed – come willing to experiment, play and celebrate all bodies.

The Center is women run and vag forward! It’s time to give the sacred feminine the vag of honor it deserves. Expect creativity. Expect connection. Expect giggles, sass, crass and a whole lot of reverence. The sacred female form is powerful, playful, varied, and worthy of being seen and we’re here for all of it!
This joyful, body-positive workshop invites you to build your very own “vag vessel” while learning hand-building and attachment techniques in a supportive, laughter-welcome space.
No experience needed. All abilities welcome. Just bring your curiosity, your sense of humor, and your willingness to get a little muddy.

A live owl is flying into The Center once more. This time its Lionel, the cutie pie screech owl courtesy of our beautiful host Tailwinds. Join us for this unforgettable session to observe our feathered guest up close and draw, paint or collage a portrait. Nature meets imagination for an epic experience. Maybe even a little Halloween themed!!

Altars offer sacred space for us to visit each day and make offerings of devotion to the loved ones in our lives – those who have passed and those still with us. Many cultures use altars throughout the year or on special days to remember those who have passed and remind them that we have not forgotten them.
In this workshop, you will be making an altar devoted to a pet who has passed. You will be guided through using traditional box making techniques to build your altar. Then, students may choose to draw their pet or use a printed photo. Finally, you may add pictures and symbols of your loved one or favorite objects that were treasured in their life.
As we create these altars with love and remembrance, you are welcome to bring a story to share (optional) about your beloved animal or human. Hopefully, the piece you create will bring you peace as you display it and use it.
For ages 16 and up. Beginners as well as experienced artists are welcome.
Día de los Muertos Family Workshop — celebrate culture, community, and remembrance through art-making + altar building.
Explore the color, symbolism, and beauty of Día de los Muertos through watercolor. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll paint a still life of an ofrenda, exploring vibrant flowers, candles, and papel picado.
With guidance throughout, you’ll learn watercolor techniques for building rich color, texture, and atmosphere while creating your own expressive interpretation of an ofrenda. Whether you’re new to watercolor or looking to deepen your skills, this workshop offers a thoughtful and creative way to explore this vibrant tradition through art.
Come paint, experiment, and create a piece that honors the beauty of remembrance and celebration.

Make a quilted stocking this holiday season. We’ll walk you through the whole process, from fabric selection and design, to piecing, quilting, and finishing your stocking. A great weekend project for seasoned sewers or total beginners. Plus it makes a pretty awesome handmade gift!
Embrace the quiet beauty of winter with local artist Kate Delaney in this cozy watercolor workshop. Explore the fluid nature of watercolor while learning techniques for creating atmosphere, texture, and light.
Kate will help you build confidence and expand your skills. No previous watercolor experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play.
A creative pause in the middle of winter, this workshop is an invitation to slow down, make something beautiful, and shake off the winter doldrums.

Get crafty for the holidays with an afternoon of printing, and clay! In this hands-on family workshop, you’ll make your own custom wrapping paper using stamps and simple block-printing techniques, creating patterns and designs that are uniquely yours.
You’ll also get your hands in some clay and craft a handmade ornament to decorate your tree, gift to someone special, or keep for yourself. You’ll have time to experiment with texture, shape, and surface as you create.
Two creative projects, plenty of room to play, and a chance to connect with your village.

Gather+Glow invites people of all ages to come together during the darkest days, honoring the solstice with reflection,creativity, and connection. Craft luminous lanterns to carry into the season—a symbol of hope, and the shared light we create when we come together. Join us for this cozy, heart-warming evening of making, meaning, and light.
