Teach at The Center

Artist + Facilitator Interest Form

Are you interested in teaching, leading a workshop, or sharing your creative practice at The Center? We'd love to learn more about you.

The Center | Art + Community is not simply a Visual Arts makerspace. We believe making is a powerful way to connect people, build confidence, spark curiosity, share stories, and create community.

Our studios are places for people to learn new skills, but they're also places to feel welcome, take creative risks, meet new people, and experience the joy of making alongside others.

We're interested in artists, makers, educators, culture-bearers, and curious humans who see teaching as more than simply passing along a skill. We receive many wonderful inquiries from artists and makers, and we take care to consider how each potential offering contributes to the larger ecosystem of The Center.

*A note about teaching at The Center

The Center is not a rental space for teaching artists.

We offer standard teaching rates and intentionally curate our teaching community based on both creative practice and alignment with our values. Teaching at The Center is an invitation to become a culture-bearer, to contribute your creativity, perspective, generosity, and energy to the colorful fabric of our community.

We value the people who teach here not only for what they make, but for how they make space for others.

If you're looking simply for a place to host a class, we may not be the right fit. If you're looking to become part of a creative ecosystem and help us build community through making, we can't wait to learn more about you! Tell us a little about yourself, your practice, and what draws you to The Center.

This isn't a formal commitment or guarantee of a teaching opportunity. It's simply a first step in getting to know one another and exploring whether our community is a good fit.
